Supplier Relations Team Member – Upwork
SUMMARY
This position will be responsible for building a relationship with suppliers, maintaining that relationship and the continued growth of the relationship. Supplier relations team member (SRTM) will be evaluating vendors that supply goods, materials and services to MRO Supply, determining each supplier's contribution to success and developing strategies to improve their performance.
Responsibilities include:
• Enhances supplier relationships by developing and continually improving upon post-award supplier processes
• Develops and drives supplier scorecards and ongoing supplier performance improvement working with supply base
• Reporting any issues with suppliers to management
• Offers input regarding negotiation processes and related tools
• Supports the development of supplier strategies, bid packages, and contracts
• Make at least 10-12 calls per hour
• Other duties as required
Qualifications:
• High School or Equivalent
• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing
• Procurement, supply chain, and/or other relevant work experience is a plus
• Experience living or working in the US is a plus
• Willingness to work full-time during PST hours (the schedule is 7 AM – 4 PM)
• Strong knowledge of MS Office applications
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Demonstrated integrity, independent thinking, judgment, and respect for others
