Job Description:
As a Website Designer at Austin Red, you'll play a pivotal role in creating a digital platform that reflects our brand's ethos and values. You'll have the opportunity to design a website that combines complexity with simplicity, ensuring it's visually captivating and easy to navigate. Here's what we're looking for:
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with our team to understand the brand's identity, mission, and goals.
Design a visually appealing, complex-yet-simple website that aligns with our brand materials and values.
Establish a clear visual hierarchy for content, emphasizing key information.
Create an intuitive and well-organized navigation menu.
Ensure the website is fully responsive, adapting seamlessly to various screen sizes and devices.
Implement web accessibility standards to make the site inclusive to all users.
Maintain consistency in design, layout, and branding elements throughout the site.
Optimize website performance, including image and code optimization for fast loading times.
Implement security measures to protect user data and the website from potential threats.
Set up website analytics to track user behavior and gather insights for future improvements.
Provide ongoing support and maintenance as needed.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a website designer with a portfolio showcasing your work.
Proficiency in web design tools and languages (e.g., HTML, CSS, Adobe Creative Suite).
Experience with content management systems (CMS), preferably WordPress.
Strong understanding of web accessibility standards (WCAG).
Mobile-responsive design expertise.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively.
