The Run-Chicken Model T50 is one of the latest innovations in smart chicken farming technology from ‘Run-Chicken,’ an American subsidiary of the European company ‘Run-Tiger.’ Run-Chicken is based in Delaware, while its parent company is based in Ljubljana, Slovenia.

The Model T50 is an always-on, always-connected smart chicken coop door attachment that combines the best features of the company’s previously-released T40 alongside a number of improvements. Firstly, the T50 boasts a battery life of approximately one year per charge, meaning it does not need to remain plugged in like some competitors. This allowed Run-Chicken to ensure that the T40 is protected from most elemental factors, such as rain and snow.

This smart door features automatically-programmed times for opening and closing that default to daylight hours. However, users can also set new times for opening and closing the door through the smart application. The user can also manually override the door via the app to close or open it at an unscheduled time, offering full control for the farmer.

When paired with connected cameras and other smart agricultural sensors, the Run-Chicken Model T50 completes the goal of achieving a near-fully automated smart chicken farming solution.
