Book Keeper / Accountant – Upwork
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join our finance team. The Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. The ideal candidate has a solid understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and a high level of attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
-Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed asset records.
-Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
-Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and budgets to provide insights into the company's financial performance.
-Conduct regular reconciliations of bank accounts, credit cards, and other financial accounts.
-Assist with the preparation and filing of tax returns, ensuring compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations.
-Monitor and analyze financial data, identifying trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
-Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure proper financial controls and processes are in place.
-Assist with the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.
-Support internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
-Stay updated on accounting regulations and best practices, making recommendations for process improvements.
Hourly Range: $8.00-$35.00
