Greetings, newspaper, magazine, newsletter, and editors!
Our brand new twice weekly newsletter that empowers people of African descent around the world is looking for a co-lead editor, to oversee and manage the publication.
There will be a large pool of contributors who will submit articles on a regular basis, you will be responsible for reviewing the articles and compiling a professional newsletter twice a week minimum. There will be around 22 articles per newsletter.
*This will be a remote team environment.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
-Gather all content from Contributors
-Keep all contributors on schedule
-Review & Edit all content (sending back to contributors when necessary)
-Get newsletter posted to the website
-Have newsletters sent
-Manage Newsletter sending
-Manage Automation
-Manage Subscriber List
-Posting public facing articles to website
The pay is $500 per month(flat rate) plus monthly company wide subscriptions based on subscriber-ship.
First month commission could be in the range of $3,493.75 – $13,975 and possibly higher over the future months.
This role will require 40-60 hours per week (Saturdays off) Specific times each day to be determined before contract.
Flat Rate Salary type role with commissions. NOT hourly.
We are looking for someone who is very passionate about the uplift of people of African descent around the world. In this role you will help in making the biggest positive impact for the benefit of people whose ethnic roots trace back to Africa in this generation!
Ideally someone with newspaper, newsletter or magazine editing experience but not absolutely required. Passion & Commitment to the cause greater than technical talent that can be developed.
