Founded in 2017 by husband and wife duo, Huw Collins and Molly Shaheen, the boutique was born out of a deep appreciation for fashion’s transformative power. Collins, known for his role in “Pretty Little Liars,” and Shaheen, with her extensive business experience and entrepreneurial flair, wanted to create something distinctive and refined. The inspiration for the name ‘Wheat’ came during a trip to Paris, where they visited Gabrielle Chanel’s original apartment. Chanel’s use of wheat symbols, which she believed brought prosperity and reminded her of her humble beginnings, resonated with the couple. Embracing this symbolism, Wheat Collection was named as a nod to their future aspirations and roots, blending the couple’s personal story with their business venture.
