Create react-native components for a new mobile application – Upwork
We're currently working on an application-prototype for a new job app. The prototype is created in react-native and run on iOS and Android (on various screen sizes, mainly phone, no tablet yet). It's not an Expo app, just plain react-native. The backend is a Graphql API.
I'm looking specifically for somebody who can create UI components that the designer has designed. All design files are created in Figma.
I want to get started with the current onboarding flow, but there's much more to build in the future. The reason why I want to start small is to get-to-know each other, review the code & quality of work. I'm really critical on code style. I want to get the progress on a daily basis in the beginning. It's very important to me as I'm self-financing this project.
The full onboarding flow consists of 20 steps, and uses custom UI components, catered towards Gen-Z. Implementing this should be a bit pragmatic: If it's too much effort to make a feature, it might be easier to alter the design slightly. I'm looking for a great communicator as well.
These are the skills I'm looking for:
* Proficiency in react-native: proven experience in developing mobile applications using react-native. Understanding of the full capabilities of the framework beyond Expo apps.
* Familiarity with GraphQL API: Ability to interact with a GraphQL API on the backend.
* UI Development: Skill and experience in creating functional and aesthetically pleasing UI components.
* Figma Proficiency: Ability to translate design files from Figma into effective UI components.
* Pragmatic Problem-Solving: Willingness to adapt designs as needed for efficiency and feasibility in implementation.
* Communication: Excellent communication skills, with a focus on maintaining regular updates on work progress.
* Code Review: Ability to self-review code for quality, maintainability, and adherence to best practices. Also have an eye for clean code principles and have a great coding style.
* Self-Motivation: As this is a self-financed project, the candidate should exhibit a high level of commitment and responsibility.
