We are seeking a passionate DevOps/Platform Engineer to join our core team. As one of the first engineers, you will collaborate closely with the founders to build a category-defining product.
What you'll be doing:
– Collaborate with the engineering team to develop and maintain Dozer
– Cloud APIs and CLI to provision infrastructure for data API backends.
– Design, implement, and optimize the orchestration process to ensure smooth deployment and scaling of data API backends on Kubernetes ensuring high availability and performance of the infrastructure.
– Contribute to the overall architecture and design decisions of the Dozer platform, with a focus on scalability, reliability, and security.
– Document the infrastructure provisioning process and provide clear guidelines and instructions for developers and users of the Dozer platform.
– Actively participate in code reviews, knowledge sharing sessions, and team meetings to promote a collaborative and innovative work environment.
– Our core team will make all decisions towards the product and engineering roadmap.
– Write clean and maintainable code that is properly tested and reviewed.
Build automated test cases to ensure utmost quality of the platform.
Collaborate and actively engage with our open source community.
What will set you up for success:
– Proficient with Kubernetes
– Proficient with at least one of the cloud platforms eg: AWS, GCP
– Experience in building scalable distributed systems; data pipelines and architectures.
– We value knowledge and passion towards building highly scalable design patterns;
– Experience in working with highly interdependent and complex multi-services architecture with a keen eye on performance and throughput.
– Working knowledge in the following areas and tools
– Big data tools: Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, etc.
– Relational SQL and NoSQL databases as well as data warehouses. (Eg: Postgres, Dynamodb,
– ElasticSearch, Redis etc for caching or search implementations.
– Data pipeline and workflow management tools: Azkaban, Luigi, Airflow, etc.
– AWS cloud services: EC2, EMR, RDS, Redshift
– Stream-processing systems: Storm, Spark-Streaming, etc.
– Object-oriented/object function scripting languages: Python, Java, C++, Scala, etc.
– Open Source contributions are a bonus.
– Platform and backend experience is a bonus.
Hourly Range: $35.00-$60.00
