We are forageSF, a company focused on offering a unique array of locally foraged goods, foraging education, and sustainable living principles. We have a robust email list of 20,000 customers but are looking to grow by an additional 5,000 quality subscribers who are local to the Northern California area over the next few months. Our classes are locally based, so our subscriber base needs to be local as well.
We're in search of a freelance Email Marketing Specialist who has a proven track record in building email lists with high engagement rates. Our target is to not just increase our list size, but to acquire subscribers who are genuinely interested in our offerings and will maintain an open rate of at least 30% for the first 3 months. The first milestone will be getting the 5000 subscribers, and the second will come 3 months later, when they have sustained a 30% open rate.
Tasks include but are not limited to:
Creating and executing a strategic plan for email list growth
Implementing email capture mechanisms (e.g., pop-ups, lead magnets)
Developing and optimizing email marketing campaigns
Collaborating with our team on content creation and design
Ideal candidate:
Has experience in the food industry, local food movements, sustainability, or related fields
Is data-driven and understands email marketing analytics
Is comfortable with various email marketing platforms
Can demonstrate past success in growing and maintaining high-quality email lists
