Fig-Studded English Cheeses : Figgy Cheddar

Trader Joe’s is already a go-to destination for holiday appetizers, but now the brand is offering consumers something extra special with its new Figgy Cheddar.

The perfect medley of sweet and savory holiday flavors, the new Figgy Cheddar is the perfect addition to any festive cheesebaord. The cheddar hails from Leicestershire, UK, where it’s produced in the ale of Belvoir. The cheese is then studded with mini Spanish figs, which have been marinated in a luxurious combination of white wine, rum, and warming spices like coriander, cinnamon, ginger, fennel, nutmeg, and cloves. As Trader Joe’s explains, “The result is a creamy, mild Cheddar, studded with marinated Fig pieces. It makes a wonderful addition to a cheeseboard and is superb for snacking.”
