We are seeking a skilled iOS Developer with expertise in Bluetooth integration for our human movement analysis iOS application. As an iOS contractor, you will be responsible for integrating Bluetooth functionality into our mobile application to enable seamless communication with an external sensor that measures muscle patterning and movement. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a cutting-edge wearable analytics system and contribute to the enhancement of movement efficiency for athletes and coaches.
Responsibilities:
– Design and implement Bluetooth integration within our iOS application to facilitate communication with Bluetooth-enabled devices.
– Develop and maintain the Bluetooth module, ensuring reliability, performance, and compatibility across different iOS devices.
– Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers and designers, to define Bluetooth-related requirements and user experience.
– Scan and discover nearby Bluetooth peripherals using the CoreBluetooth framework.
– Establish connections with Bluetooth devices and handle disconnections gracefully.
– Discover services and characteristics of connected peripherals and interact with them using read, write, and notification mechanisms.
– Handle data transfer and synchronization between the mobile application and Bluetooth devices.
– Troubleshoot and resolve Bluetooth-related issues and optimize the application's Bluetooth functionality for stability and efficiency.
Requirements:
– Strong proficiency in iOS development using Swift and experience with Objective-C.
– Solid understanding of the CoreBluetooth framework and its usage for Bluetooth integration in iOS applications.
– Proven experience in implementing Bluetooth functionality in iOS applications, including device discovery, connection management, and data transfer.
– Familiarity with Bluetooth protocols such as Bluetooth Classic and Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE).
– Knowledge of Bluetooth security best practices and encryption mechanisms.
– Experience working with external hardware devices and sensor integration.
– Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to debug and optimize Bluetooth-related issues.
– Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
