Network Design Engineer – Upwork
Background required
• Min of 3 yrs experience in Network design, maintenance, troubleshooting
Network design (details)
• Configure, maintain, manage network switches and routers
o Both wired and WiFi(including access points)
WiFi signal boosting/extension
DHCP service setup
NAT provisioning
Link Aggregation
DNS services
• Network maintenance
o Control of configuration management
On site staff must not be able to make changes without auditing
• Network trouble shooting
o Proficient in mac OS Network configuration
o Dual-homed configurations
o macOS Private Network setup
o IP over Thunderbolt
o iOS device Network setup and configuration
• Network security practices
o VLANs
o Firewalls
o Access control lists
• NFS service installation, configuration, and troubleshooting
o NFS Share creation and export
o Provisioning clients access to NFS share
• Basic Network service monitoring for pre-emptive issue identification
o Device health checks (online as expected, or not responding)
o Expected throughput verification(if it drops send alert)
Hourly Range: $60.00-$80.00
