Next-Gen Humanoid Robots : tesla Optimus Gen 2

The Tesla Tesla Optimus Gen 2 prototype is a step up from the previously introduced robot, and it boasts advanced hardware upgrades. This next-gen humanoid robot prototype includes a 2-DoF actuated neck, actuators and the ability to handle delicate objects with care thanks to 11-DoF hands with tactile sensing on all of its digits.

Jokingly, Elon Musk said that Tesla’s Optimus would be slow enough for humans to “run away from it” and while Optimus Gen 2 is speedier, the innovative bot is still in the prototype phase with no plans for production or sale yet.

Already, cobots from other companies are working collaboratively alongside humans in a variety of settings to free up time and streamline operations.
