Premier California Personal Injury Law Firm in Search of Litigation Secretary/Paralegal – Upwork
We are premier California personal injury law firm seeking a litigation paralegal that is professional, experienced, driven, and detail-oriented to join our growing litigation team. We will provide full training on California law and procedures. We are looking for someone that wants full-time, long-term employment with a great law firm. All applicants must be available to work Monday-Friday from 9:00 am PST to 5:30 PM PST.
Responsibilities:
Ability to file and e-file complaints, pleadings, and other documents throughout different jurisdictions in California.
Calendaring discovery, appearances and deadlines.
Scheduling and coordinating depositions, mediations, and other appearances.
Extensive client contact, phone and email communication.
Drafting letters, deposition notices, and other routine correspondence.
Preparing and filing subpoenas and judicial counsel form documents.
Proofreading and finalizing discovery, motions, pleadings and other court documents.
Qualifications:
Technical skills with computers, Office/Outlook, Adobe and ability to adapt to the firm's case management system (Filevine).
Familiarity with various legal documents.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Ability to quickly problem solve. Be willing to take initiative in fixing problems or learning how to perform tasks.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
