Recyclable Hardware Packaging : nokia circular packaging

Nokia announced that it will be packaging its broadband access nodes in smaller recyclable packages by 2023 as part of its commitment to circularity. The new packaging design will reduce the environmental impact of Nokia’s products and save costs for its customers and partners. According to Nokia, the new packaging will reduce the use of cardboard by 50%, plastic by 76%, and foam by 65%. It will also reduce the weight of the packaging by 30% and the volume by 60%, resulting in lower carbon emissions and transportation costs.

The new packaging is part of Nokia’s broader commitment to sustainability and circular economy. Nokia has set ambitious targets to reduce its own greenhouse gas emissions by 50% by 2030 and to ensure that 100% of its products are recyclable, reusable, or compostable by 2025. Nokia is also working with its suppliers and customers to promote responsible sourcing, recycling, and reuse of materials. Nokia’s new packaging design is an example of how innovation can create value for both the environment and the business.
