We are looking for a freelancer that can help our team with various projects ranging from accounting and bookkeeping, to tax preparation, to business filings, to putting together proposals. This individual needs to be extremely resourceful and pretty much be a jack of all accounting trades.
The projects and needs will vary, but we imagine the need for at least 10-20 hours of work per week for the foreseeable future…if not more. Our immediate needs include accounting system clean up, bookkeeping, and some light project management in both QBO and QB Desktop (through remote desktop).
In order to make our selection, please ensure that your response/proposal includes the following details (Note: accounting is a detail oriented profession so failure to include the following will remove you from consideration):
1. A short bio about who you are, personally, not professionally.
2. Tell us about your experience with accounting and bookkeeping. Include any systems you have worked with AND are proficient with, as well as any certifications or licenses you have.
3. Tell us about your experience in tax preparation, if any, to include the tax programs you've used and the types of returns you've prepared.
4. Self-assess your writing skills with a rank of 1-5; with 1 being, I can communicate effectively but rely heavily on grammar and spell check, and 5 being, I can write elaborate essays, proposals, and professional presentations with ease.
5. Include the hours that you are available to work or have meetings (please include the time zone). We understand many freelancers have other jobs and other obligations…we just want to know what we can expect and we understand these may change from week-to-week.
6. Please indicate if you are a current W-2 employee for another accounting or CPA firm.
In addition, please ask any questions that you may have of us.
Hourly Range: $25.00-$45.00
