Scorched Whisky Spirits : Glen Moray Phoenix Rising

Glen Moray Phoenix Rising is a single-malt scotch whisky that takes cues from a legendary immortal bird from folklore that rises from the ashes after bursting into flames. Inspired by the journey of this mythical creature, the whisky begins by being aged in Bourbon casks, then finished in heavily charred oak casks to release intense characteristics. Before this release, the whisky distillery rarely experimented with charring new oak.

Dubbed a “sweet and spicy tribute to the phoenix,” Glen Moray Phoenix Rising is said to have opening notes of caramel, ginger and milk chocolate, and a finish that leads into peppery notes, light oak, nuts and malt.

The bottle and secondary packaging for the product make the single-malt scotch whisky’s association with the phoenix unmistakable.
