Semi-Finished Plant-Based Beef Products : beef alternatives

These BENEO beef alternatives have been created by the Germany-based ingredients manufacturer as a series of solutions that are perfect for use in a variety of recipes. The plant-based, semi-finished products include the Beef Bites and Minced Meat, which are easy to incorporate into recipes that call for beef. The solutions have been developed using a blend of pea protein and mycoprotein by Meatless BV, and are expected to start being offered in the beginning of 2024 to give traditional recipes a meatiness in a plant-based way.

Niels E. Hower of the brand’s executive board spoke on the new BENEO beef alternatives saying, “Due to the high consumer interest, we made the decision to expand our range of cost-effective plant-based solutions to also include beef alternatives which can easily be integrated into existing production processes. The alternatives market is largely focused on replacing chicken or processed applications like hamburgers and meatballs. So, the addition of Meatless® Beef Bites and Minced Meat products offers manufacturers an even broader spectrum of choice.”
