In need of tax and legal advice on how to optimize my tax expenses. Preferably from someone who already provided advice to other digital nomads.
I am a foreign freelancer (from the Netherlands) in Malaysia who just received his Digital Nomad Visa (De Rantau visa).
Some concrete questions I would have:
1. Can I work as an individual or do I need to have a registered business (e.g. sole proprietorship) to be able to work as a freelancer? And what are the legal and/or tax implications of this.
2. Should I become tax resident of Malaysia (because I will be here at least 1 year) or not?
3. How to best fill out the e-Daftar form (e.g. do I need to register my income as income from business or not)
Looking for someone who can support me on this (either via messages or a video call). Please provide your credentials / past projects.
