Rivalry, a popular esports betting company, has announced the new FragFest event, which is a dedicated Counter-Strike 2 local-area network (LAN) tournament hosted alongside Mohan ‘Launders’ Govindasamy. The event will take place in Toronto, Canada, with a prize pool of $2,500 CAD and 16 total teams competing. FragFrest is scheduled to broadcast in January 6, 2024, and hopes to “engage Toronto-based esports fans” as the first dedicated Counter-Strike event in the region.

“Not only is Launders a one-of-a-kind personality in the industry, but he’s also personally aligned with our vision to create meaningful activations and entertainment for the local esports community in Toronto,” said Britt Doll, Rivalry Canada’s Marketing Director. “With Counter-Strike 2 coming into focus and its first major event coming up in a few months, we couldn’t have asked for a better partner and activation to kick off this next era of Counter-Strike esports.”
