Require assistance to make a Python algo bot that executes trades via MT4
Part 1) Algo Script
The strategy is based upon a Tradingview indicator but will need a few tweaks.
– Standard Deviation / ATR indicator that trades mean reversion based initially on SPX500 spread bet forward contracts (will like to branch out to other indices + other assets) during periods. This strategy also includes a Momentum-based strategy within the indicator when the mean reversion strategy is not active.
Part 1a) Backtesting of strat
Need to see if the strategy is viable, profitable, and works across multi-assets (ideally)
– needs to satisfy requirements:
Over a long duration ideally +10years (if not, 3Y MIN?)
Sharpe Ratio 0.7 minimum
Max Drawdown
Return / Risk
Strike rate
Avg Profit/Avg Loss
Avg Bet Duration
Ect
Data visualisation of the set above will be needed
Part 2) Algo GUI
This will allow for human intervention in case the bot needs to be turned off due to extreme circumstances, the bot should be running in most circumstances but will avoid trading macro events, Data events, and the first 30mins of market open
Manual intervention buttons should include things like:
– full flattened positions
– partial flatten position (25%, 50%, and 75%)
– Cancel order
– Cancel all orders
Part 3) Branching out to other assets
Should the project work very well on SPX, may not need to branch to other assets as my PC may not be able to compute it all BUT if possible, ideally would like to branch to other assets:
Indices
Metals
FX
Oil
Part 4) Telegram bot
IF bot operates at too high frequency (I.e. will make it too noisy for one person to handle) telegram alerts are not necessary, but if it is better to run much slower/tighter/better Sharpe ratio ect then we can push out telegram alerts for my group
