Traditional Food Preservation Containers : Twist food storage container

The conceptual ‘Twist’ food storage container has been designed by Elanur Aslan as a piece of equipment for the kitchen that incorporates an age-old tradition for keeping ingredients fresher.

The container features a sleek, stylish construction that uses a lid with a hidden compartment for keeping natural preservatives like rice, garlic or bay leaves inside. This follows on old-fashioned traditions for balancing moisture levels and even keeping insects at bay. The user-friendly form of the container boasts a twisting functionality in the lid to accommodate intuitive ingredient access at leisure.

The conceptual ‘Twist’ food storage container is crafted out of fully recyclable glass, while the lid is made out of the plant-derived polymer PLA that can biodegrade after use for a more sustainable overall design.
