Versatile Deli-Ready Cling Films : Omni Xtra+ cling film

The Omni Xtra+ cling film has been unveiled by Berry Global as a new version of the brand’s polyethylene (PE) film crafted with the fresh food market in mind.

The film is being touted as an alternative to polyvinyl chloride (PVC) films, and boasts a versatile profile that can be used on fruits, vegetables, meat, poultry, bakery and deli products. The film is reported to have improved elasticity, a consistent level of stretching behavior and an improved resistance to impact. The film also features improved recyclability to give it a more sustainable edge over the competition.

R&D Manager of Berry Global Flexible Films Benjamin Hendriks spoke on the Omni Xtra+ cling film saying, “Our Omni Xtra+ film represents a significant technical advance over previous versions, mirroring the performance of PVC in terms of usability and clarity whilst lowering packaging weights for improved yields.
