Video Editor and Story Database Manager Online Content – Upwork
We are seeking a detail-oriented video editor to curate, edit, and organize one-hour-long video clips featuring LGBTQ+ individuals in Asia. Your primary objective will be to create captivating, bite-sized social media and training videos that shed light on their unique experiences and perspectives.
As a part of this role, you will also also be responsible for managing a database that catalogs crucial information related to each video clip. This includes documenting speaker names, themes, keywords, and other relevant details, all with the intention of creating a comprehensive and easily accessible resource for LGBTQ+ content in Asia. The database will be used to help identify which people tell which stories so that clips can be organized in the future.
**Responsibilities:**
– Cut all videos into smaller clips, which distinguish interviewee vs interviewer in a pre-set format provided by us.
– Edit 45 min to one-hour-long video clips into compelling, bite-sized social media videos that authentically represent the experiences of LGBTQ+ individuals in Asia.
– Identify and highlight the most powerful and insightful moments within the footage, organized by theme.
– Enhance the videos with basic edits, such as trimming, audio optimization, and maintaining visual consistency.
– Create and manage a comprehensive database, meticulously documenting speaker details, themes, keywords, and other pertinent metadata.
– Collaborate closely with the content team to ensure the accuracy and currency of information within the database.
– Add the finishing touches when approved by the content team (templates, zooms, etc.).
**Requirements:**
– Proven experience as a video editor, showcasing your exceptional editing skills and ability to convey powerful stories.
– Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro.
– Sensitivity and empathy when dealing with personal narratives, ensuring accurate representation and respectful storytelling.
– Excellent organizational abilities to maintain a comprehensive database.
– Self-motivated and capable of meeting deadlines in a dynamic and impactful work environment.
– Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with the content team and ensure cohesive execution.
