Web Developer Needed for Dog Walking Field Booking Site with Smart Lock Integration – Upwork

We are in the process of setting up a dog walking field where customers can book 30 or 60-minute slots to use the field. Access to the field will be controlled via a smart lock. We need a proficient web developer to create a user-friendly website that allows customers to sign up, view available slots, book a slot, and pay for it. Upon booking, customers should either select their own pin or receive a PIN based on their phone number, which will grant them access to the field via a smart lock during their booked slot.
Responsibilities:
1. Design and develop a clean, user-friendly website using WordPress (or similar).
2. Integrate WooCommerce and WooCommerce Bookings (or similar) addons to manage bookings and payments.
3. Develop a system for setting/generating and sending a PIN to customers upon booking.
4. Integrate smart lock system with the website to allow PIN access during booked time slots.
5. Ensure the website is mobile-responsive and SEO-optimized.
6. Set up a simple admin panel for us to manage bookings, view reports, and modify availability.
Qualifications:
1 . Proven experience in, for example, WordPress and WooCommerce development.
2. Experience with smart lock integration or similar IoT systems.
3. Strong understanding of web security and data protection.
4. Good communication skills and the ability to explain technical details in simple terms.
Deliverables:
1. A fully functioning, mobile-responsive booking website.
2. Integration of smart lock system with booking platform.
3. Admin panel for managing bookings and availability.
4. Documentation for managing the website and troubleshooting common issues.
Project Duration:
We aim to have the project completed within 2-3 months once agreed. The selected candidate should be ready to start once we have planning permission for the project confirmed.
