Youthful Vintage-Inspired Hotels : standard international

Standard International is set to unveil its newest hospitality brand, The StandardX, in Melbourne, Australia, in February. This brand spans locations in New York, Miami, London, Bangkok, Hua Hin, Ibiza, and the Maldives.

The StandardX in Melbourne, situated in the dynamic Fitzroy neighborhood, draws inspiration from the area’s rich history of iconic record stores, punk clubs, writers’ haunts, and beloved party spots. The Fitzroy era of the 70s and 80s inspired the hotel’s design.

The hotel will feature various food and beverage concepts, including The Roof on the rooftop space, offering a dining experience influenced by the melodic flavors of Mercado Medellin and led by executive chef Justin Dingle-Garciyya. It will also house BANG, an all-day Thai concept, and The Box, a retail space.
